Palm Beach Motor Cars hosted and sponsored the Sportsman's Grand Jamboree celebration in honor of the Boy Scouts of America's 100th Anniversary. The Sportsman's Grand Jamboree was held on the evening of January 14th at the Palm Beach Motor Cars Showroom on Okeechobee Boulevard.

The Gulf Stream Council Boy Scouts of America and the Executive Committee helped in organizing a well-planned evening, which was a huge success. In February 2010, the Boy Scouts of America will celebrate 100 years as an organization. The local Gulf Stream Council supports over 24,000 Scouts representing seven counties in Southeast Florida including three Scout camps. A cocktail auction was held to help raise the critical funds needed to support the Youth Programs of the Gulf Stream Council that truly "make a difference" in the lives of the youth in the local community.

The 2010 Centennial Honorary Chairmen were William Koch of Oxbow, Inc., The Honorable Lois Frankel and Palm Beach Councilman, William Diamond. The Event Chairman was Mark Simpson of Palm Beach Motor Cars.

Choirs from Palm Beach Day School, St. Ann School, Jupiter High School, Bak Middle School, Eldridge Gale Elementary, Wellington Christian and others will perform throughout the evening. So it's going to be an evening filled with lights, music and fun! The festivities will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m., with the tree lighting occurring at sharp 6:29 p.m. Many fun-filled venues will be offered for adults as well during the evening, so get there early for a wonderful evening on Worth Avenue!

The much awaited Fisker Karma plug in Hybrid made it's entry last weekend (August 15th) in grand style at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California.

Just 19 months after its conception, the first Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) from the house of Fisker Automotive group grabbed every one's eye in its public driving debut.

All set to hit the roads by mid 2010, The 403hp Fisker Karma reached speeds in excess of 100mph in both Sport (hybrid) and Stealth (electric only) modes around the Laguna Seca Raceway.

Although the Fisker Karma achieves 60mph in just 9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 125mph, it also gives an amazing 100mpg! Carbon emissions are also much lower compared to today's hybrids.
